Senior Data Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer with 2-6 years of experience to join our growing team. You will design and implement data pipelines that power our analytics platform, transforming Amazon seller data into actionable insights. This role is critical to our mission of providing Indian sellers with comprehensive, data-driven tools to optimize their Amazon business performance.

Location: Bangalore – Hybrid. WFH for first 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehousing solutions for Amazon seller data.
• Create and optimize ETL processes using dbt and other data transformation tools.
• Implement integrations with Amazon Selling Partner API and Amazon Ads API.
• Develop data models that support advanced analytics and reporting features.
• Collaborate with full-stack engineers to ensure efficient data delivery to frontend applications.
• Monitor data quality and implement appropriate validation mechanisms.
• Optimize query performance and database architecture.
• Document data flows, models, and integration points.
• Stay current with Amazon API changes and e-commerce analytics best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 2-6 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and implementation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation tools.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and data integration.
• Understanding of data security and privacy best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with Amazon Selling Partner API or Advertising API.
• Experience with real-time data processing.
• Familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI.
• Understanding of e-commerce metrics and KPIs.
• Experience working in a startup environment.
• Knowledge of Indian e-commerce market dynamics.
